What do you mean by ‘real succulent’?

The designs are moulded directly from living succulent plants. I grow them in my garden and when I find one that I think will make a beautiful piece of jewellery it is moulded and then cast, initially in brass. I then take that casting and make any necessary alterations such as adding attachments or adjusting leaves if they have moved. I then have it moulded and then cast in Silver or Gold. That mould can then be reused to create multiples of the original.

I like to think of it as a collaboration between myself and mother nature.

What are they made from?

All the jewellery is made from either Sterling Silver, 9ct Yellow Gold or 9ct Rose Gold unless otherwise stated. This includes all clasps, chains, earring posts and earring backs.

All designs can be made in gold upon request including those not specified as such on the website.

What does ‘oxidised’ mean?

The piece is carefully painted with a (stinky!) solution and left in the sunshine, this causes rapid oxidisation which is the darkening or purposeful tarnishing of the metal. I then polish it back to reveal the original colour in all but the cracks and crevices. This gives it a more antique look and also makes the petals stand out and brings out the shapes of the design.

This is optional and I think they look beautiful either way!

 Are they environmentally friendly?

I source my metals from suppliers that use recycled metal wherever possible rather than newly mined.

I encourage you to enjoy your jewellery for years to come rather than changing them each season. I believe in consciously choosing to buy things that make your heart skip a beat and treasuring them, slow fashion not fast fashion.

How should I measure my ring size?

You can order a ring sizer from the shop to measure your own finger. Or if you'd prefer you can pop into your local jewellery shop and they should be happy to check the measurement for you.

How long do orders take?

I keep a small stock of pieces in stock so sometimes am able to ship ready made pieces. However, most jewellery and almost all rings are made to order and to your size.

Please allow 2-3 week for production and then postage time is in addition.

How much does postage cost?

Australia : $12 with tracking

($2 for fine bands and ring sizers with no tracking)

International : $25 with tracking

($5 for fine bands and ring sizers with no tracking)

How long will postage take?

Australia : 2-5 working days

International : 2-4 weeks

All orders are sent with tracking.

International postage from Australia can be a little slow at times so please allow up to 4 weeks for arrival. I will have a tracking number and will provide this with the dispatch email.

I need my order fast, is that possible?

If you need an express order please email me to enquire and I will do my best to make it happen.

Express postage is available within Australia $15 and Internationally $43, please contact first to arrange this as I need to ensure I can make the piece quickly.

How is the jewellery packaged? Is it gift wrapped?

All pieces are carefully and thoughtfully packaged in a recycled kraft stock jewellery box and nestled inside a natural muslin bag. You will also be given a polishing cloth to help keep your jewellery shining and a 'take care' card. (Fine bands and ring sizers are posted in a muslin bag only not a box.)

I do not put any prices, receipts on purchase record in the parcel so they are ready for gifting. If you would like a personalised note to send as a gift directly please ask at the checkout and I will add that in too.

Do you teach workshops?

I don’t currently teach workshops but am always open to ideas!

Can I return an item?

Yes, if you would like to make a return please contact

Returns are not accepted in the instance that you provided the wrong ring size.

How do I care for my jewellery?

Most importantly, treat it with love and care, enjoy it and wear it often!

Keep it away from harsh chemicals such as perfume and cleaning products and remove when swimming in the ocean or a chlorinated pool.

You may find over time dirt builds up in the blooms,  an easy way to clean it at home is to simply soak in warm water with a gentle soap and use a soft paintbrush to remove the dirt.

A polishing cloth will be sent with your order, keep it safe and use it when you want to add an extra shine! Sterling silver in particular naturally oxidises, this mean it will darken over time. Regular wear and good care will slow this process a lot but you may find the inside of the blooms is darker (oxidised), this is not a flaw but the beauty of a natural and reactive material. It gives the piece character and adds to the depth of the design. It can be removed with a silver polishing solution if you choose.

Do you do custom designs?

Yes, I love to work on unique pieces! However please consider if the style of my work is similar to what you are after as custom pieces work best when they fit within the realm of what I already make.

Is this the same House of Bec that makes the stamped cutlery?
